The SUM OF ALL THINGS : The plan of God of the ages is outlined in just one chapter : Genesis two. It can be summed up in just one word : marriage. The union of Adam & Eve the first couple is the base prototype of the larger reality of Christ & His bride the Church, as explained by Paul in Ephesians 5:30-32. In Genesis two Adam is put to sleep; Biblical metaphor for death, and out of his side God takes a rib & forms Eve his wife. Christ the Last Adam (1st Corinthians 15:45) was pierced in His side on the Cross, out of which came blood & water to purchase, cleanse & purify the redeemed of Jesus Christ the Lamb of God (John 19:34 / Ephesians 5:26). Thus the story of creation is summed up in that one word : marriage; the union of God & His redeemed of Calvary. Christ & His bride the Church is the consummation of the ages : Let us be glad and rejoice,...for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (Revelation 19:7) As in the Lords Bible design, whereby every subject is numbered & ordered, it follows that wherever there is a chapter two, the themes of the number two appear, which themes are : marriage, union(also its opposite : division); testimony (two witnesses); house(literal, or meaning the family). Beth, the second Hebrew letter means, house; thus in Matthew two Jesus is born in Beth-lehem, the House of Bread (He is the living bread). Hence in Genesis two one man Adam was made into two (division), then united with his wife as one flesh (union). Theirs was the first house-hold of history. If you were two read all the chapter twos of the Bible; you will be amazed to find all the themes of Two / Beth appear in those chapters, all springing from Genesis two. Such is Gods consistency & continuity in His Word the Bible.
