The Sad Events in Benghazi Mr Sabri Malek, the official spokesperson of the Democratic Party, spoke on ANN TV this afternoon regarding the sad military clashes in Benghazi early this morning. Mr Malek explained that Libya suffers from a dangerous ideological vacuum conducive to violence and anarchy. This is clearly manifested in Mr Ali Zidan’s government total lack of vision and in its inability to address the day to day concerns of the Libyan people. He went on to stress that Libyans in general have no confidence in most of Libya’s political elite. Mr Malek reiterated the Democratic Party’s initiative that Libya needs to be governed by a United Nations commission during this turbulent transitionary period to democracy.
