The San Antonio City Council is seeking applicants to temporarily fill the District 10 Council vacancy. Interested individuals can obtain an application and Financial Disclosure Statement in person at the Office of the City Clerk, located on the second floor of City Hall, 100 Military Plaza, during regular business hours or online at sanantonio.gov/clerk/. A completed application, letter of interest, resume, and Financial Disclosure Statement from each applicant will be accepted beginning Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 in the Office of the City Clerk. Applicants must be a United States Citizen, be at least 18 years of age, be a registered voter of the City of San Antonio, and a resident of City Council District 10. On Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the “B” Room of the Municipal Plaza Building, 114 W. Commerce St., the City Council will conduct applicant interviews. At the regular Council meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 in City Council Chambers; the City Council will interview the finalists and vote to fill the vacancy. The appointee will assume the District 10 seat following the administration of the Oath of Office.
