The Seaford Public Library takes great pride in presenting its Summer 2013 series of outdoor concerts, “Music for a Saturday Evening,” in partnership with the Seaford Chamber of Commerce, the Friends of the Library, the Seaford Lions Club, and the Seaford Wellness Council. For over ten years the Seaford Library has been offering up top notch, quality musical entertainment from artists and performers from all musical genres including classic rock, doo-wop, country, and everything in-between. All concerts are free of charge and draw hundreds of people from the Seaford community and beyond. So please come out this summer, bring a chair and have a blast. Here’s the rundown: “Captain Jack” Saturday, July 6th A Billy Joel tribute band with some Elton John and other classic rock mixed in - presented in cooperation with the FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY - to be held in the parking lot at the Seaford Library. “Mary Lamont” Saturday, July 20th Come down and enjoy this wonderful country band and artist who Newsday dubbed the “Queen of Long Island Country” - brought to you in partnership with the SEAFORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE - to be held in the parking lot at the Seaford Library. “Runaway Train” Saturday, August 3rd A 5 piece Americana band from Delaware who write their own original music along with covering artists such as the Dixie Chicks, Sugarland, Avett Brothers, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and many more – presented in cooperation with the SEAFORD LIONS CLUB – to be held in the parking lot at the Seaford Library. “Turnpike Joe and the Traffic Jam” Saturday, August 17th New York’s Premier Classic Rock/Party Band covers such performers as ZZ Top, Buddy Holly, Creedence, Chuck Berry, KISS, The Stones, Steve Miller, The Beatles, Tom Petty, as well as originals – brought to you in partnership with the SEAFORD WELLNESS COUNCIL – to be held in the parking lot at the Seaford Train Station by the gazebo.
