"The Secret" (a movie) has given so much to the world and at the same time it has taken so much away... It has taught the world to strive for more, to aspire for more and to achieve it... This is good... It has also taught an expectation of things to happen instantly, healing from emotional, physical and mental trauma... If we expect things to happen so fast, we can set ourselves up for more trauma... Some healing takes "TIME" and if we rush through it, we can miss extremely important aspects of healing... These aspects can bring us to our knees at the most unexpected times; when things are going "exactly right"... This can devastate us, creating more trauma that needs healing... A year ago I was at the top of my game... High on life and so caught up in the gifts of this, I was running with it so in love with life... Then Life happened.... Bringing to the surface things I had truly thought I had healed, and rose above... What I have learnt in this year is that I neglected "TIME" by pushing myself to be better, to heal faster, to get to a place where the past no longer had any power in my life.. How I neglected time is; by pushing myself through trauma, I missed important aspects of my growth, of learning that I need to be present, to honor myself and those Creator has put in my world... I also missed key elements to being a honoring parent, honoring wife, honoring sister, honoring friend, honoring women... I am grateful for this past year that is teaching me more than I fathomed learning prior to all that I have experienced what has happened in such a short time... I have a long way to go, yet I can honestly say I am honoring the time I need to do my work that needs to be done, regardless of how much time it takes.... I am coming home to me, to Creator...
