The Secretary of the Commonwealth, William Galvin, predicts about 2.2 million of Massachusetts 4.2 million registered voters will cast a ballot today. Thats just a hair over 50%. There are about 700 people on my general email list I use to get the word out about many different issues. Galvin is saying that 330 of them are not going to make it to the polls today. Id like to think that this group of 700 is much more engaged than registered voters as a whole. That said, Id be naïve to assume that 100% of them will exercise their right to vote today, which is why Im sending you this request: Many of the races are polling within the margin of error. That means its likely that there will be a few decided by a small number of votes. Fewer than 330? In 2010, there was a tie for a state representative seat in the general election. A single vote would have averted a special election. If you havent cast your ballot yet, please do. If you have, thank you. Randy
