The Selmer Police Department released the name of the Home Banking Robbery suspect arrested last night in Hardeman County. Marty Holland was taken into custody after countless hours of investigation by the SPD. Selmer officers Assistant Chief Kim Holley and Jamie Lowrance investigated the case and described how they found video evidence of a vehicle parked by the doctors offices near the bank which did not belong to any patient going into or out of the offices. Following leads on the vehicle, the investigation turned to the suspect in Hardeman County. Working closely with both the FBI, TBI and the Hardeman County Sheriffs Department the officers learned that Holland had active warrants for his arrest. Last night SPD officers Holley and Lowrance were on scene as the Hardeman authorities arrested Holland and conducted a search of his Middleton home. Holland was arrested due to evidence found which includes the vehicle used in the robbery and currency recovered from the robbery that was affirmatively matched to the currency stolen from the bank. Approximately $1,800 of a reported $10,000 taken from the bank was recovered and the officers said that they do expect additional arrests and charges to be leveled in the case.
