The Sermon for Sunday Service at Bread of Life Church - TopicsExpress

The Sermon for Sunday Service at Bread of Life Church International –Chawama Blessing Centre by Elder Phiri was really powerful and is worth sharing. The theme was ‘DREAM AGAIN’ It was picked from the book of Genesis 37 vs. 5-11. In this passage we are told that Joseph had a dream, and we are also told that he had another dream again. With second dream, the father rebuked Joseph for suggesting that his mother and father plus the eleven brothers were to bow before him, however, the Bible says that his Joseph’s father kept what he was told to his heart. ‘WHAT IS A DREAM?’ A dream is a divine revelation of a future and destiny. God speaks through prophesy even in dreams. When you dream, God makes you to see what others are unable to see. Every dream that you have is for a purpose. A dream is like a seed that when you plant it will germinate and grow for all to see, but one thing you need to understand is that dreams attracts opposition.. The devil will not attack you until he discovers your dream, then he will strike to frustrate that dream being realized. The devil is very comfortable when you are not making any progress in life. It is said that when a man has no vision his family goes nowhere for where there is a vision people perish. This means that we should live according to our purpose. When you are being opposed, the will of God will surely prevail. The devils mission is clearly stated in John 10Vs 10, being that of just to Kill, steal and destroy. It is also said that the darkest hour comes before dawn. When one is about to achieve his/her dream, the devil always comes to scatter that realization. So, we need to know how and why our dreams are killed. ‘WHAT KILLS OR DESTROYS DREAMS?’ The number one dream killer is our own MOUTHS. What we speak or say about ourselves will usher us to that position. In the passage, Joseph’s father rebuked his son so that he could keep quiet but the father kept what the son said to his heart. James warns us of our tongues. He further says that how can one mouth produce sweet and bitter water at the same time. We should learn to keep our mouths shut for whatever we say the devil gets wind of it and attacks that, thereby making us fail realize our dreams. We are urged to speak of positive things and not negative things about ourselves and our children. It’s only God who knows our destiny, so we should go ahead and dream. Luke 1Vs 20. Negative words destroy, but positive word exhorts. We should connect our mouths with wisdom for where there is a vision, provision is there too. The other dream killer is the lack of faith and preparations. Faith is, believing of the things that we cannot see or touch but believing that we have them, for faith without action is dead. The other dream killer is lack of endurance, patience and sacrifice. People easily give up due to pressure. We need to go for our value. Never sell your inheritance; our God is a God of a second chance. So we shall, definitely arise dream again for what God has started, he will definitely finish. What a powerful message it was… Be blessed too.
