The Seventh-day Adventist Church mark its 100yrs in Nigeria.missionary David.c. Babcock first established its presence in 1914 after coming from mission in siera-leon,he learnt the yoruba language in five months.The seventh-day church is a major christain domination with a significant presence in Nigeria.Babcock university was named after him.He pioneered the work of Adventist Church in Nigeria in 1914.He was based in Erumu in oyo state Nigeria,the 100yrs celebration of Adventist also come at the time when Nigeria is also celebrating its almagamation as a nation from the Northern and Southern protectorate.The Adventist has a world wide membership of over 18million in virtually eveyr country on eart. A famous Seventh-day Adventist in Nigeria is Dr.Deji Adeleke owner of Adeleke University and pacific energy.The president of North-eastern Nigeria union mission Pastor O.A Owolabia outlined a series of activities to mark the 100yrs commemoration.some of these activities include:visit of world Adventist President Pastor Dr Ted N.C Wilson and other other world Adventist leaders leaders in Nigeria to some state Government which include :Lagos,Ogun,Abia,,Rivers,Platue state,and finally Aso rock villa.Exquisive celebration in some city stadiums and institutions.these include Lagos,Babcock,Enyimba stadium Aba,P.H,JOS,ABJ.The uniform is just to make its celebration colourful.let us pray for the success of the events.
