The Sign ~ I saw him I saw him deeply kiss another woman My heart sunk in pain Eyes of disbelief My mind goes insaneI pivot and runHigh heels gone before I hit the door My red evening dress flowing behindWhere am I going . . . I think to myself Not even noticing . . . anybody elseI run Run as fast as I can Bare feet feeling no pain My heart is throbbingI cannot conceive what I just sawI hurtI gave him my heart And trusted this loveMy feelings are shatteredI am alone on this earthI reach the end of the road My bare feet have hit the waterI am frozen in this momentTrying to catch my breath Feeling like death Broken in despairI turn to prayer And become stillWaiting for the answer Of Gods willThe sun is setting As I close my eyesHands rested upon my heartI ask God . . . to send me a sign And then . . .I heard a whisper That said"Tilt your head up And see the world As you look up”In that very moment I felt a warm glow A little white dove in precious flight Came to show me the loving light Reminding me that I am whole And this love . . . I will always know God’s mysterious ways of shining his light.
