The Silent River Film Festival silentriverfilmfestival runs from Thursday, October 17th through Sunday, October 20th in the City of Irvine. Screenings will take place at the Westpark Theatre and Irvine Civic Center. There will also be an all-day Film Fair at the Irvine Civic Center on Sunday, October 20th which concludes with a Red Carpet Award and gala. Founded and organized by Kalpna Singh-Chitnis kalpnasinghchitnis the The Silent River Film Festival presents international films that are unique and thought provoking, including entries from India, Pakistan, Germany, Spain, Canada, Ireland, Uganda and the US. The Festival includes a celebration of 100 years of Indian Cinema with 5 Indian films and a special exhibit at the Film Fair. They are also showing some very important films made by Chinese filmmakers and actors living in the United States.
