The Silkworm, by Robert Galbraith (J.K. Rowling) deserves a 5/5, - TopicsExpress

The Silkworm, by Robert Galbraith (J.K. Rowling) deserves a 5/5, in my opinion, although it was sitting at 4.5 (when I was probably just past halfway). One of the highlights of this novel was the clever witticisms he protagonist Cormoran Strike again displays. I do not want to spoil it, but Ill just say it will rankle the English teachers when students ask for permission to do something (Rosemary Allely Richards and Justine Magee 😉). The reason why I was considering a 4.5 was because the plot revolves around a man who supposedly pens an awful book. And the book WAS awful, and I guess thats Rowlings genius shining through: she can use a terrible story to bolster the actual/main plot she is developing. And thats why I bumped it up to a 5. I hope Rowling continues to write such amazing novels. I love how she, like a few other authors, can make me empathise with the characters, make chills run down my spine, and also shiver with her description of the scene and climate. I was quite sad when I finished the novel.
