The Simile of the Sun THE ALL PARENT OF WHAT YOU CAN ONLY SEE THROUGH INTELLIGENCE The Good Now, This Jesus, Being the Source of Reality and Truth, gives Intelligibility to objects of thought, and the power of knowing to the mind For Just as he took the Candle, An Ordinary Object used in our World, He connected the dots for the ignorant to see, that just as you light a candle, When you go to Jesus, The Source of Reality and Truth, You obtain reality and truth, and then when you teach that reality and truth, you are that Ordinary Candle, And the going forth of the Word Inside of you, that word of Reality and truth, is the Flame atop the candle This is why Jesus says No one hides a candle under a bushel, but rather places it on a lampstand where it may give light to the entire house For if we keep within our Intellect, Trapped, The Reality and truth we have received from Jesus, It is as if we have taken the lit candle, and placed it under a basket To which the children reply: Wont let Satan blow it out, Im gonna let it shine For Satan means Adversary And when those without the Reality and Truth, Try to keep it from coming forth into the World, They are Satan attempting to blow out the candle
