The Simplicity in Christ Jesus But I fear, lest by ANY means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted FROM the SIMPLICITY that is in Christ 2Cor 11:3. Apostle Paul clearly stated that The Lord Jesus Christ was not hard to follow Him because He taught and lived a simple message. Believe in me and you shall be saved. Paul mentions the fact that our minds could be corrupted by any number of means. He refers to Eve in the garden and how he lied to her and convinced her, in her mind, that if she ate of the forbidden tree which He forbid them to eat, she would not die. He lied to her as she saw how good the fruit looked and then after eating, it tasted so good. He was talking in religious terms about God. Dont be fooled by people who always talking religion, and not the meek and lowly Jesus of the four Gospels, Mt, Mk, Lk, and John. By any means. Religion has caused the majority of people to eat the forbidden, as commanded by God, by lying and corrupting their mind, saying you will not die, but you will be enlightened to the things of the world. Is it really complicated to simply obey The Voice of God to abstain from sin? The confusion arises in minds, what is sin? What can I get away with? The Lord Jesus simply said, believe in me and you shall have eternal life. Then the religious comes along and brings confusion, what does that mean? Then they add all their rules, rituals, ceremonies and creeds to the simple words of Jesus and argue among all their man made organizations that each one believes their way is the only right ways to be saved. Hogwash! The only way to be saved is to, come out of her my people and come unto me, you that are weary and heavy laden (with religion) I will give you rest. Take MY yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and MY burden is light. The devil works on your mind! You can control your thoughts and make yourself think upon good things. Remember, The Simplicity that us in Christ!
