The Sisterhood - Becoming Nuns is a Lifetime 6 episode series about 5 young women who are contemplating become nuns. They spend 6 weeks with 6 different Orders is a time of what they call discernment (obtaining spiritual direction to help make up their mind). I really enjoyed this series. Each Mother House had different personalities and work that they do. Now Im 65 and grew up being taught by nuns in the 50s and 60s. They were just awful women and as mean as they come. The nuns in this series are about my age and younger and what a difference from the nuns I knew. They were just delightful people. One even said Its not easy for women to live all together. Its amazing to me there hasnt been a murder. I liked her the best! These women have dedicated their lives to God and prayer as well as do all kinds of other wonderful things to help people. Of the five girls who did their discernment, 2 found their calling to serve God, 1 girl isnt sure so shes giving it some time, and the other 2 decided it wasnt for them. I do recommend watching this series. I am just so glad that the sisters of today are more kind and loving then the sisters in my day.
