The Sixth Judicial District has announced that the Cedar Rapids Police School Resource Officers, Jessica Barnhart, Charity Hansel, Tracy Johnson, Thaddeus Paisar and Janae Obbink will receive the “Friend of the Court Award” on February 16, 2015. The “Friend of the Court Award” is presented annually to a person, group or organization that is not employed by the Judicial Branch who has: a) contributed significantly to the improvement of the administration of justice in the Sixth Judicial District; or b) fostered the building of public support for the judiciary; or c) volunteered time and talents to assisting judges and court personnel in managing workloads and serving the public. These Officers were nominated for the award by the Linn County Juvenile Court Officers. Please take a moment to congratulate these Officers on this well deserved award.
