The Slip of the Tongue Narrated Sahl bin Sad: Allahs Apostle - TopicsExpress

The Slip of the Tongue Narrated Sahl bin Sad: Allahs Apostle said, Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him. (Book #76, Hadith #481) It may be that because of our tongue and what is between our legs we may go to jahannam which is why we need to control it. One of the best ways i have found to keep my tongue busy is by doing dhikr as much as i can. Sahih Bukhari Hadith: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, There are two expressions which are very easy for the tongue to say, but they are very heavy in the balance and are very dear to The Beneficent (Allah), and they are, Subhan Allah Al-Azim and Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi. (Book #75, Hadith #415) Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi and Subhan Allah Al-Azim is very light on the tongue yet heavy on the balance and they are words which are most dear to Allah (swt). Why not do dhikr by reciting the above repetitively so that you keep your tongue wet with words that Allah (swt) holds most dear to Him and you earn rewards so that on the Day of Judgment your balance, Insha Allah, is heavy with good deeds. It is very easy to get started and then keep going because as soon as you remember to do Dhikr you can start saying the words above. Your mind will be occupied with the Dhikr fo Allah too which will stop you from thinking of unnecessary things that may cause you to or move you towards sinning. May Allah (swt) guide us all on to the straight path, ameen.
