The Snohomish County Sheriffs Office Dive Team and SNOHAWK1 search and rescue helicopter were called out Sunday to search Blackmans Lake for a missing fisherman last seen on Saturday. The search was launched when relatives of the 38-year-old Lake Forest Park man called 911 to report him missing. He was last seen Saturday by another fisherman at the lake, who reported that he saw the man inflating a blue kayak in the parking lot. Personnel at the scene report seeing an inflatable blue kayak partially submerged in the lake. Our goal is to always recover everyone to give closure to the family, said Lt. Rodney Rochon, dive team commander. Were very empathetic to the family under any circumstances, but especially this time of year when so many people are thinking about getting together with family and friends. The search was suspended at sunset on Sunday but will resume on Monday. Its the worst time of the year to lose a loved one, its terrible, said Lisa Chapman, who lives near the lake.
