The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has picked Pastor Sam Gar as her Governorship candidate for the 2015 general elections. In a statement released to the Media, the Acting Chairman of the Party, Rev. Peter Dzever stated that Pastor Sam Gar has the partys mandate to execute her Benue Rescue Agenda which includes Free Primary and Secondary Education, massive job creation to cater for the teeming youth of Benue and a revolution in the agricultural sector that will place Benue back on the map on Africa. He further stated that SDP has developed a new deal package for all workers, youth, women and other groups in the State and a celebration package for students of Benue State. SDP will ensure dignity and comfort for every pensioner among many other salvation projects and programs. He also stated that the SDP Government will execute some of the outstanding projects that the Late SDP Governor, Rev. Fr. Orshio Adasu conceived but boulder not execute due to military intervention. The SDP Governorship candidate, Pastor Sam Gar, is a well tested servant of God whom God is now sending as the Chief Servant of Benue State. Pastor Sam Gar was an outstanding scholar with the University of Jos and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. He is a prolific writer, teacher, management consultant and is well known in Christian circles as a champion of social justice and good governance. Benue State will indeed rejoice under his tenure.
