The Source of Repentance Romans 2:4 Dont you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Cant you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? Acts 11:18 When the others heard this, they stopped objecting and began praising God. They said, We can see that God has also given the Gentiles the privilege of repenting of their sins and receiving eternal life. 2Timothy 2:25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those peoples hearts, and they will learn the truth. 2Corinthians 7:10 For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. Theres no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. John 16:8 And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of Gods righteousness, and of the coming judgment. John 6:44 For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up. Luke 3:12-14 Even corrupt tax collectors came to be baptized and asked, Teacher, what should we do? He replied, Collect no more taxes than the government requires. What should we do? asked some soldiers. John replied, Dont extort money or male false accusations. And be content with your pay. Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Amen
