The Southbank Centre continue to push the rhetoric that skaters - TopicsExpress

The Southbank Centre continue to push the rhetoric that skaters refuse to compromise. Or to put it another way - the Southbank Centre refuse to accept that skaters wont bow down and agree to the singular and theoretical design scheme from which the Southbank Centre will not compromise or budge from which features the destruction of an ACTUAL existing culture and community. Virtually no one agrees with their current design plan and yet they have chosen to ignore the work and suggestions by others, such as the Twentieth Century Society, who have put the time in to create a more modestly achievable Festival Wing that still provides for the expansion of more art for more people. This was suggested back in October 2013. This work could save the Southbank Centre vast sums of time and money, rather than them continuing to bulldoze ahead while ignoring the clear message being voiced around them, and flushing huge amounts of time and money down the architectural plug hole - especially given that one of their main points of argument is that they are strapped for cash. Surely stopping spending is as important as speculating the generating of income in times of austerity? llsb/20th-c-society-alternative-plans/
