The State Fair is coming. Confession: Deb and I love it! No... we dont go to ride the Ferris Wheel or the spinning Tea Cup... our favorite thing is a quick look at all the animals and then head to wing where all the vendors are. We stroll and look at ugly lamps, take in the quilt contest, watch the kids at the State Police driver training, zigzag the nostalgic candy maze, people watch (there arent many normal looking folks like us there) and look at all the latest marvels in wind chimes and purses, all the while discussing which food booth well eat at this year. I know... it sounds pretty dull to you swinging from the mountainside adventure types, but its a tradition for us and we tackle it with fervor! See you there? Well buy you a deep fried dill pickle, Mars bar, and chicken gizzard on a stick! Youll love it! You know you will!
