The ‘Strand Electric’ miniature theatre spotlight pat 45. Strand Electric was formed in 1914 (therefore the original company is 100 years old this year). It was bought by Rank film studios in 1968 from the owners, London based theatre electricians Arthur Earnshaw and Philip Sheridan. In turn the company is now based in America and is called Strand Lighting and is part of Royal Philips Lighting. Philip Sheridan worked at the Strand Theatre in London and Arthur Earnshaw worked at the Duke of York theatre.
