The Suffering & Martyrdom of the apostles and early christians are for me a proof that Christ is Risen from the Dead. Isnt their being martyred (the apostles) proof enough that Jesus was really raised from the dead ? Would the apostles and many other Christians have gone into so much trouble, knowing that this will only lead them to persecution or even to give up their life for Him in whom they believed if Jesus was not really raised from the dead ? Of course not - they would have been really crazy to go through all that suffering for a man who was killed on a cross! It is clear that it was because Christ has been raised from the dead that they found their courage through the Holy Spirit and were not afraid to give up their lives for Him who promised them a better life where: They shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death shall be no more, and never again shall there be sorrow or crying or pain. For all those former things are past and gone.” Rev 21:4. I am absolutely sure that nobody would have given up his life for a crucified man who was dead and buried!!! Most probably they would have all scattered around and hid themselves quietly in oblivion. The apostles, and all those who followed them were ready to risk their lives, endure persecution, suffering and even death only because JESUS CHRIST HAS BEEN RAISED FROM THE DEAD. JESUS LIVES YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOR EVER.
