Fruita Rimrock Rodeo Royalty Program History The Fruita Rimrock Rodeo Royalty has been a part of the Fruita Rimrock Rodeo since 2000. It started out with Queen and Queen 1st Attendant position. Girls from ages 16 into early 20s could try out and get a taste of sport of rodeo. By 2005 the program began to be popular and it expanded. The royalty program was assigned a coordinator and the princess division was created for younger cowgirls to join in the fun of rodeo. In 2008 the royalty team decided to put an additional position: Lady In Waiting. Over the past fourteen years, The Fruita Rimrock Rodeo Royalty has had fourteen rodeo queens and fourteen queen 1st attendants and twelve queen 2nd attendants for the Queen Division. Even since 2005, the princess division has had nine young ladies for princess, eight princess 1st attendants and eight princess 2nd attendants. Lady In Waiting had 7 young ladies. Every year, the royalty team’s goal is to travel around the western slope of Colorado promoting the spirit of rodeo and the image of the Frutia Rimrock Rodeo. These lady volunteers gets to work with all types of people from rodeo personnel to the cute little girl is the stands who is cheering them on. We help the public eye understand Colorado Agriculture and the western way of life. Revisiting 2014 Royalty Team 2014 Fruita Rimrock Rodeo Queen: Krystal Hensley Krystal is twenty one years old and a graduate from Colorado Nortthwestern Community College with a degree in Equine Training Management and Science. She has competed in rodeo for thirteen years while attending 4-H to show beef and horse projects for seven years. Her passion is to train horses. 2014 Fruita Rimrock Rodeo Princess: Hannah Weber Hannah was Lady In Waiting for the royalty team in 2010. Even since she was seven years old, she has loved riding horses. She attends Fruita Monument High School as a junior. She is a member of the FMHS Marching Band, playing the flute. She likes to volunteer a lot and help others in her spare time. 2014 Fruita Rimrock Rodeo Princess 1st Attendant: Audrey Hollibaugh Audrey has been excited to begin her rodeo adventures with our royalty team this year. She has been riding horse since she was five years old. She enjoys assisting with green broke horse for the past two summers. She is a member of the Monument Riding Club. 2014 Fruita Rimrock Rodeo Princess 2nd Attendant: Kaci Crews Kaci is also excited to join our royalty team. She is eight years old and attends Rimrock Elementary School. She enjoys riding horses with her mom. Her favorite animal is horses and loves playing outside. She competes in gymkhanas. 2014 Lady In Waiting: Tawny O’Connor Tawny has been excited to be part of the royalty team since early last fall. She is thirteen years old and have been riding horses most of her life. She attends Redlands Middle School. She was inspired to be rodeo royalty from her family. She has raise goats, pigs and zebu. The 2014 Fruita Rimrock Rodeo Royalty would like to take a moment and say thank you to all their sponsors.
