The Supreme Court reacted sharply on the IPL scandal by asking the Board of Control for Cricket in India to give information with regards to the financial working of the apex body of cricket in the country along with the findings with respect to auction and purchase of players in IPL. Asking the BCCI to come clean on the financial aspects in terms of broadcasting rights and ticket sale, the Supreme Court also sought detailed financial information. On the other hand, the former President of BCCI and the chairperson of International Cricket Council, N Srinivasan, had informed the court that he had acted swiftly when he got to know about the betting allegations against his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan.
