The T-50 is a more advanced aircraft fighter of aviation industry design& manufactured. She is a better Mark One Eyeball dogfighter than the F-22. The Su-27 is also a better dogfighter than the F-15 and this has been tested in the same manner Top Gun dogfights occur. The T-50s avionics are not as good as the F-22 Raptor. Right now the USAF and DARPA are developing a solid state Laser cannon to replace the 20MM cannon currently mounted in the F-22. That however is at least 5 years away. It will be the same Laser that is slated to be mounted in drones. SU problems are financial, they are asked to do what Lockheed does on a much lower budget. If Russia had the same resources as Lockheed that would be a nightmare to western fighter development. The T-50 falls in between the F-35 and the F-22 but since the F-22 is not a carrier based fighter and the T-50 is then the T-50 will be the most dangerous Naval fighter in history. Russia would not have been able to develop the T-50 as they have without the cooperation of India.
