The Tesla Society Thought of the day: § Of all the possessions sought, the most worthwhile having the self , be the least of all thought. We are more than the sum of our possessions. We cannot take our possessions with us. Possessions break and are temporary. But ideas can last forever. People spend their lives earning a life they never live. The most precious things cannot be bought, only brought out from darkness into light. From ashes into being. The most valuable of all things, the least known, the conduit of the self which carries each possession all, carries the meaning and the dignity and importance of the very idea of possession. Too few know this lesson and too many shall ignore it. Indeed there can only be progress, it can be for the better or for the worse of our fellow humanity, as waves of the fashion of morality and dignity of men sweep like skirts upon dolls through the ages, as hemlines raise then so do civilisations, and perhaps as they fall then so do all! Of all possessions, the self being the possession that one most of all cannot seem to do without! I think therefore I am. Then, I am therefore I possess. we all humanity, civilisation, atom, seek higher things! §
