The Thanksgiving Holiday recently passed and the celebration of the birth of Christ is coming quickly. Many traditions associated with these holidays is feasting. Often people ask one another what foods they are planning to prepare. Afterwards, friends converse about what and how much they ate. The food is nourishing, but we often partake in a level of food that we normally would not. Conversely, when watching television, we are overwhelmed with commercials talking about and showing children who are starving. This is a current sad reality that prayerfully will soon change due to the giving of donations from people with kind, compassionate hearts. Nourishment is critical for the body to function. There is more than one type of nourishment. Our bodies need food in order to survive on this earth. There is another type of nourishment that our soul seeks. That nourishment comes from doing the will of God. Sometimes we feel like something is wrong but we cannot pinpoint the problem. At times, the reason for that feeling is due to being out of the will of God. Let us make it a priority to get the nourishment associated with doing the will of God. There is nothing like it. John 4:34 Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.
