The Thugs At It Again An open Letter to Ambassador George Manneh - TopicsExpress

The Thugs At It Again An open Letter to Ambassador George Manneh Weah, Political Leader CDC Dear Ambassador Weah: I hope this letter meets you in good health and I pray that you could use this as a guide to redirect you from the slippery path you have so often opted to take. Ambassador I am deeply distraught and dismayed by what has been in the media of late concerning the flogging of a man that has only been identified as Montgomery allegedly on the orders of the heads of your band of thugs (Mulbah and Jefferson). Quite frankly Ambassador, I was not surprised when I heard of such acts being allegedly perpetrated by thugs led by the likes of Morlue or individuals within the echelons of the “MIGHTY CDC”. You may wonder why I am not so surprised but again maybe given the level of your intelligence may want to answer yourself; can’t you remember so early on the chronology of the events that have preceded the founding of the party many Liberian thought was a true representation of the common people? These events have been violent; for instance when Cole Bangalu decided to leave the CDC, do you remember Your Excellency how you and your band of thugs took the news? Then came the Joshua Sackie saga when he was being insulted by executives of the CDC that were calling him names (such as excess to requirement, excess baggage etc). The instances are numerous as the above two were preceded by Geraldine Doe Sheriff, Edward Forh and now the embattled Chairman George Solo. When I learned that Montgomery was brutally man handled, I felt a surge that said they are at it again (the thugs). Sometimes I wonder why you want State Power when the things you would be charged to protect are the ones that you’ve already began abuse. I am of the conviction that you will transform before the next elections; given the manner in which your transformations over the years have been. When one considers how it took you a relatively short period to get through secondary school, university and post graduate program respectively, it is logical to deduce that you can change and transform over a short period which makes it possible for you to transform your current acts of banditry and support for violence against your perceived opponents. Your Excellency, the current crisis in your party and in times the past has left me with some unanswered questions and I implore you to kindly respond to: 1. Why are you never tolerant of others opinions (evidenced by the flogging of Montgomery who candidly believed that the manner of Solo’s expulsion was undemocratic). 2. Do you know Mulbah Morlue well? 3. What really happened with the CDC-LP Marriage that nearly happened (which caused Eugene’s departure from the Party)? 4. Where is Cllr. Dr. Winston Tubman, has he left the Party? 5. What happened to the Acarous Gray investigation that caused all the stir all over the news? 6. Why are there always resignations of the chairpersons of the CDC? 7. What is this that I have been hearing about you and Robert Sirleaf? 8. What happened with the George Solo Television Saga? Given all of the above queries, I would further want to state that you would want to ensure a free, fair and transparent investigation into what led to the flogging of comrade Montgomery at the head quarters of the largest opposition movement in the Country. Instead of raiding the party of people of good morals who differ with you, I think there are a lot more persons who have integrity problem that needs to leave the party if you and your movement are to be taken seriously by the people of Liberia. I have come to know you over the last couple of years to be very popular but yet have refused to translate your popularity into tangible votes, which would induct you as president of this country. Please sir, if you should be considered seriously as we approach the senatorial elections, please take actions that would lead to raiding some of those thugs who have been masquerading as true partisans and lovers of the party from the” MIGHTY CDC”. Let me conclude by saying in the words of the musician and song writer Dolly Parton “If you want the rainbow, you’ve gotta put up with the rain”. With sentiments of very high esteem, Best regards Aloysius J. Morris
