The Tienanmen Gate of Heavenly Peace, is a famous monument in Beijing. It is widely used as a national symbol. First built during the Ming Dynasty in 1420, Tienanmen is often referred to as the front entrance to the Forbidden City. The name is rather interesting because the two things China seem to have little interest in is Heaven, there is no religion here - they believe you die and go back to where you came from before you were born, and, judging from the military presence here, Peace, except maybe the type of peace you get when you point a gun at somebody.....
