The Tour de France is in shambles. Far too many crashes and tumbles. Crappy weather. Deadly course maps plotted out by the organizers. Observers (mostly in UK) who dont understand the danger they pose to the riders when they take selfies w approaching racers bearing down on them from behind (really!).The two top contenders, Froome and Contador, had to drop out due to injuries. Contador fell, his bike broke in pieces, he got a new bike, they bandaged his bleeding knee, and he rode 12 miles or 12 km (depending on which report you see) before deciding he must stop...and they discovered a broken tibia (lower leg bone)! Really!?? These guys are made of stronger mettle than the rest of us mere mortals. I am totally riveted...4-5 hrs of straight watching/day. Insane...but wow!
