The Town of Bolton is seeking a volunteer alternate to the Development Review Board (DRB). The DRB has the responsibility of reviewing and taking action on proposals for land development under Bolton’s Land Use and Development Regulations. The Board is comprised of five volunteers appointed by the Select Board, and two alternates who are appointed in the event a member is otherwise unable to hear an application before the Board. The DRB functions as quasi-judicial body created under Vermont Statute 24 VSA Chapter 117 §4461. Their responsibilities include conducting Site Plan and Conditional Use Review, Subdivision and Variance Review, and hearing appeals of decisions of Bolton’s Zoning Administrator. Appeals of decisions made by the DRB are referred to the Vermont Environmental and Superior Courts. If you are interested in volunteering to serve as a DRB Alternate, please contact the town office. Thank you.
