The Town of Brant 2014 Tentative Budget prepared by Supervisor Len Pero is now available on the Brant website. A Public Hearing for this budget is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12th, a week after Election Day. Some things in the budget may be of interest to the residents and taxpayers in Brant: Line A7550.41 Celebrations (SummerFest) $20,000.00 WOW! Lines A7110.2 and A7110.4 Parks $0.00 This is where we pay for the lawn mowing at the Town Park, Memorial Park, etc. How is that going to get done now??? Line A1620.1 Buildings/Grds. Superintendent $34,476.00 and Line A1620.11 Buildings/Grounds Staff $26,676.00 These are 2 new jobs created for 2014. Will these positions be available to any qualified town resident or were they created for specific people???? Please attend the public hearing on 11/12 to ask questions and to voice your opinions and concerns relative to this budget and the spending of our tax money.
