The Triple R Sport Course event will occur Tuesday, Jan. 28, Six p.m. start at Lionshead skier bridge. A+B: Skin up to Born Free, Right on Bwana loop to top of Bwana face. Start skin track traverse to Cheetah gully, climb skin track up Cheetah gully to top of Bwana terrain park A-continue uphill, go left at top of first tree island above terrain park, Big Mamba skin track starts right just before Born Free, follow skin track up to top of Chair 8. Continue up hill through clear cut trending climbers right to top of Pride terrain park. Go uphill and right to bottom of Racer Simba boot pack in trees between upper Bwana and Racer Simba. Boot pack straight uphill. Skin again to Eagles Nest top of Gondola around building to right. Skin up Eagles Nest ridge to top of Chair Two. Transition. Descend to MidVail on Midvail express or Challenge if coverage is adequate. B-Transition at top of terrain park or leave skins on and descend catwalk to Born Free, cross Born Free and ascend Lions way catwalk, to Columbine, to Lodgepole, to Lionsway catwalk to MidVail. A+B-Rejoin at MidVail. Descend Cadys Cafe directly downhill from MidVail. At first catwalk (Git-a-long Rd.), skate uphill to Riva, descend Riva, descend Tourist Trap, to Northwood catwalk,( 2nd right uphill, one pitch below Tourist trap) Skate, skin or walk uphill to first intersection, go left downhill, left again on Lower Prima, Start on Brisk Walk catwalk, about 50m on right start Golden Peak boot pack. Boot pack up to Chair 10 Catwalk, go left up to mid station Chair 6. Go skiers right to top of Boo Boo, descend to Golden Peak base. Record finish time on clipboard at GP base. Bus can get you back to LH, Lobby of base building usually open to warm up. As always, give any grooming equipment wide berth, winch catting operation-stop, go up and around or reverse direction to a different descent.
