The Twelve BASICS #5… Praise and give thanks unto God continually regardless of the situation or circumstance… The following is a series of twelve writings on the subject of the BASICS… Believers Acquiring Spiritual Insights and Character Scripturally…. Praise and give thanks unto God continually regardless of the situation or circumstance… By him (The LORD Jesus Christ) therefore let us offer (This is a matter of contriteness, choice, commitment, communion, complete humbleness, consistency, and continuance.) the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips (As believer we are to bear spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural fruit, more fruit, and much remaining fruit; see John 15:1-8. One such fruit is the fruit of praise and thanksgiving rendered unto the God the Father and the LORD Jesus Christ regardless of our situation or circumstance.) giving thanks to his name (This is to glorify the LORD or to spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally manifest the LORD Jesus Christ’s person, presence, power, passion, pleasure, purpose, and perfect sovereign will in all things.). Hebrews 13:15 The LORD inhabitest the praise and thanksgiving of His people; in which His person, presence, and purpose will be experienced through such: But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest (spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally dwells with) the praises of Israel (By way of application, God’s people, believers, who offer praise and thanksgiving unto Him.). Psalm 22:3 There are grave consequences for not praising and giving thanks unto the LORD regardless of one’s situation or circumstance: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God (They did not spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally manifest God.), neither were thankful (NOT BEING THANKFUL UNTO THE LORD, IN ONE’S SITUATION AND CIRCUMSTANCE IS EVIDENCE OF SPIRITUAL AND SCRPITURAL DECLINE THAT MUST BE REPENTED OR SUCH DECLINE WILL INCREASE WITH GREATER SEVERITY AND SPIRITUAL CONSEQUENCES.); but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 1:21 The peace of God which passeth all understand comes from not focusing on the devil’s hocus-pocus, but on the following; in which, if there be any praise, which such is one of such thing that we should think upon…. (8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (9) Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 The main motive of the believer must be to glorify the LORD Jesus Christ is all things in which such will bring thanksgiving and praise unto Him… And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name (This is to glorify the LORD or to the spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally manifest the LORD Jesus Christ’s person, presence, power, passion, pleasure, purpose, and perfect sovereign will in all things.) of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks (When the believer, by faith, successfully manifests the LORD Jesus Christ, He the LORD is worthy of all praise and thanksgiving.) to God and the Father by him (The LORD Jesus Christ). Colossians 3:17 There should NOT be any situation or circumstance the believer cannot find something to the praise and give thanks unto the LORD: In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1Thessalonians 5:18 The spiritual and scriptural responsibility of a believer, as priest unto God, is to offer …the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Hebrews 13:15 There is coming that day when all the inhabitance of heaven will collectively praise and give thanks unto our God and the LORD Jesus Christ, let us do such even here on earth: And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. Revelation 19:5 The following are a few things one can praise and give thanks unto the LORD regardless of one’s situation or circumstance… • Creative and Natural Blessing (the beautiful scenes of creation; years of life)… • Redemption Blessings (years of newness of spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural eternal life)… • Marriage blessings (years; the faithfulness of one’s wife or husband, and the blessing of one’schildren and grandchildren) • Perfect-sovereign will blessings through your mercy and grace (Whereby God has worked all things to His glory and your good)… • Scripture and Spiritual-insight Blessings (growth in the grace and knowledge of the Lord)… • Sanctification Blessings (spiritual growth/victory over sin, Satan, and the solicitation of the world)… • Divine Doors of Opportunity of Evangelism Blessings (to witness, water seed, and win sinners to the Savior as God gives the increase)… • Ministry Blessings to the Saint (communion in prayer for and with others, contacts, connections, conviction of the Holy Spirit, converts to Christ, commitment of Believers, counseling rendered and received, and those who continue in the Faith that have ministered to)… • Relational Blessings (family / friends / fellow believers)… • Provisional Blessings (food, shelter, clothing, financial needs, Becky’s employment, health, and all other needs; ministry finances for the dorm so far and the amount coming as regular support. 200.00 coming in)… • Special asked Blessings (sovereign [under God’s control] leadership even though we are persistent to walk in God’s permissive will)… • Supernatural bestowed Blessings (miracles received or anticipated by faith)… • The Blessed Hope of the Lord’s Second Coming Blessings (Its imminence.)… • Future Eternal Blessings (We will see The Lord Jesus Christ as He is. We will receive eternal rewards for works well done for His glory.)… By the way, if you truly want revival in your local church teach the brethren consistently to practice the BASICS and you got a revival started.
