The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit today denied the State of Arizona’s request to rehear a case that successfully challenged Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s decision to deny driver’s licenses to recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The denial of rehearing validates a July decision, following oral argument by MALDEF counsel Victor Viramontes, ordering the state to cease following the Governor’s unconstitutional policy.
