The U.S. Department of Labors Office of Disability Employment Policy has announced a total of $8,422,574 in continued funding for organizations that develop models, provide technical assistance and share best practices to improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Examiner discusses the impact this funding will have specifically on individuals with autism. NYSID member agencies and corporate partners provide outstanding success stories, including Brent Matthew Lillard from The Nicholas Center for Autism/Spectrum Designs Foundation, the 2014 William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award co-recipient. Brent is but one example of an individual with autism who is not only surviving, but thriving, in his job. Congratulations!
