The U.S. House of Representatives this week passed several bills to boost the production of domestic energy, lower gas prices for American households, and create American jobs. Specifically the bills were: •H.R. 1965, the Federal Lands, Jobs and Security Act protects and expands onshore American energy production and creates new jobs by streamlining government red-tape and regulations; •H.R. 2728, the Protecting States Rights to Promote American Energy Act recognizes states authority to regulate hydraulic fracturing, or fracking; and •H.R. 1900, the Natural Gas Pipeline Permitting Reform Act modernizes the federal review process for natural gas pipeline permit applications and expedites approvals.
