The UDF Presidential Candidate has claimed having a meeting with the World Bank and IMF at which the institutions indicated they will ONLY resume aid to Malawi upon regime change. The Min of Information, disputes this meeting and the claim that these institutions have no trust in a PP led administration. I am in no position to ascertain the authenticity of the meeting and what was discussed, BUT am certain that the two institutions among other institutions have no trust in the current government. By the way if the institutions say they are not releasing funds and will only review their position sometime in June/July or thereabout, ISNT THIS CLEAR MESSAGE TO THE PP ADMINISTRATION, that the donors are advocating for a change in the administration? Kodi kufunsira mzimayi, iye azingoti ndizakuyankha next month, kenaka ndikuyankha in three months time, en finally amvekere ndizakuyankhabe...isnt that enough clue that you can hang??? Do u insist mpaka akuwuze kuti am not interested in you? Do the PP understand diplomatic language...where a negative answer is crafted to appear positive?? So, my take is whether the mtng took place or not...BUT the donors are clearly saying, remove these thieves, then we can talk business.
