The UK,US, Spain,Germany all had or are still having some ebola patients in their countries but no one is hyping it on the media. Nigeria has contained its own experience yet the outside world talks about Nigeria as if it is an ebola infested country.While watching so many international news media in the course of the the American bringing ebola into Nigeria,i was surprised to see the emphasis being placed on Nigerian travelers who had one health problem or the other and the stigmatization on ebola disease thereof.Until this moment, all cases of ebola disease stems from the index case of the American that imported it into our ebola free country.I must quickly commend the Turkish Government for refuting the claims that,ebola has become a common place in Nigeria. Our so called online bloggers keep telling the world what does not exist by the way they headline their unverifiable claims about ebola disease in Nigeria.Online media(social media) in Nigeria has really dented the image of Nigeria than it has laundered it positively before the world. The way people peddle news is not the way the ethics pronounced it. If you do not have verifiable claims on an issue why try to put our dear country in bad light because you want to publish your news and make your name and money. Its really disheartening the way and manner people in Nigeria carry all sorts of fake news in an instant of any major crises. The crimes and all sorts of wicked things abound elsewhere in high degree than in Nigeria but you dont hear of them because no patriotic people would like to place their country in bad light before anyone. In most cases, the news published are thoroughly filtered so as to protect their national interest.My people, there are good things about Nigeria we should talk about pronouncing evil things against her is bad and the world will take our words serious whether they be true or not. Since there is freedom of the press in Nigeria,where everyone can talk and be heard, we should try and censor that blind part of our conscience against Nigeria because shes exactly not what we are telling the world about it at the instance of any crises at any time.-DAA
