The UKB Council voted unanimously to reverse a four year old resolution depriving the duly elect Treasurer, Ella Mae Worley, of her duties. After a contentious hour of bickering between some Councilors and Chief George Wickliffe, newly elected Councilor Anile Locust introduced a resolution to restore the Treasurer to her job duties. Seconded by newly elected Asst. Chief Joe Bunch, the vote went smoothly, but only after tribal members made it known they wanted her duties restored. The vote appears to herald in a new attitude among Councilors to act independently and pay more attention to their constituents and less to George Wickliffe.
