The UNV Online Volunteering service April 2014 Newsletter is out! The UN Secretary-General’s High-level Panel on the #Post2015 Development Agenda, which advises on the global development framework beyond the target date for the #MDGs called for a data revolution earlier this year. The data revolution has as its objectives the integration of statistics into public and private sector decision-making, as well as the building of trust between society and state through transparency and accountability. This requires quality and timeliness of data; filling the data gaps; transparency, accessibility and availability of data; and the harnessing of diverse sources of knowledge.
