The UP Engineering Radio Guild presents SYNERGY: Electrical and Electronics Engineering Summit 2014. On its third year, SYNERGY brings with it a four-day gathering for future engineers to showcase their skills and intellect. SYNERGY will go beyond learning concepts and exploring theories acquired from the academe. The event focuses on professional development and its potential in improving the country. SYNERGY is composed of five major events, namely, Techno Talk, Ingenious Ideas, Revolutionary Robotics, Dynamic Discourse, and Corporate Connection. Techno Talk is comprised of three short talks where distinguished speakers will talk about trends and innovations in the academe, industry, and government scenes for Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In Ingenious Ideas, students are encouraged to think out of the box by solving scenarios or questions related to topics presented in Techno Talk. This event is in collaboration with Ideaspace Foundation. Competing schools are also tasked to build a classic line-follower robot which they will then modify throughout the contest to fit the track in Revolutionary Robotics. This event is in collaboration with E-Gizmo Mechatronix Central, PhilRobotics, and ThinkLab. SYNERGY also features Dynamic Discourse where participants and delegates visit several EEE-related companies in order to have idea on how professionals use knowledge they have acquired inside their classrooms and laboratories in solving problems in the real world. Lastly, Corporate Connection enables participants and company representatives alike to mingle with each other and further their networks.
