The US Center for Disease Control control made a grave error when - TopicsExpress

The US Center for Disease Control control made a grave error when they started calling ME/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis a complicated immune, endocrine, and neurological disease, CFS/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In doing so they caused great suffering to patients who are known to struggle with health problems as, or more debilitating, than MS, Lupus, Late stage AIDS and many late stage cancers. The name Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a misnomer and has proven to have given both medical staff & the public the idea that patients are merely tired. Nothing could be further from the truth. As author Laura Hillenbrand has stated publicly "This illness is to fatigue what a nuclear bomb is to a match!" Please help us get the name of this devastating disease changed officially by signing this petition. Mislabeling anything is a lie. A name change cannot fix past wrongs. It can however pave the way for a future of honesty in disease representation and research efforts. thepetitionsite/255/349/958/fatigue-is-not-a-disease/
