The US is with Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Gwyneth Paltrow in having children with unorthodox names. Critics of Inherent Resolve argue that the operation will be prone to bullying when it gets older and indeed, the formerly nameless campaign against Islamic State already had its share of name calling. The Washington Post’s In the Loop blog held a contest to help the US determine a new name. Winners included (but are not limited to) “Operation Shiite Storm”, “Operation Baracking Bad”, and “Operation Sunni Delight”.
