The United States often lays claim to being THE country most accepting of immigrants on the planet. Indeed, the United States grants entry to more applicants by comparison of percentage and nominal amounts compared to any other country on the planet. That said, even with this in mind, the United States still rejects well over 95% (about 98%) of every application for legal immigration status in the USA. While defenders of this policy call it generous and open, I call it the least worst of a universally cruel situation on this planet that results in billions of people being denied the right of free mobility.
