The United States provides the Palestinian Authority $400 million for economic and security needs. However, with the Palestinian Authority engaging in a unity deal with the terrorist group Hamas, that money needs to end. There is a law which states that no foreign aid can be provided to any entity effectively controlled by Hamas, any power-sharing government of which Hamas is a member, or that results from an agreement with Hamas and over which Hamas exercises undue influence. The Palestinian Authority has decided to allign itself with terrorists. It is not in the United States interest to fund terrorism. Especially in violation of law.
