The University of Botswana through the Computer Science Department and Computer Society of Botswana will be hosting the Ampion Venture Bus Passing through Botswana on the Sunday 9th November 2014 09:00 to 13:00 hrs, travelling through Southern Africa. The details of the Venture are given here ampion.org/#!venture-bus/c1z85 and summarised below The bus brings together change makers and technology experts on a 5-day road trip across the continent, to turn business ideas into real projects. The goal is to empower highly talented young Africans to develop innovative solutions and make a tangible impact in their communities together with other entrepreneurs from all over the world. Along the journey, the “Ampioneers” conceive and launch startups and contribute to creating a community of entrepreneurial talent in Africa. The Ampioneers come from a breath of backgrounds and nationalities, they combine African ingenuity with international experience and global mindset. Botswana has 5 representatives, The bus is scheduled to be at in Botswana on Sunday 9th November 2014. There will be whole day Session in Gaborone visiting the technology hub- BIH, FSVC incubator, UB tour of Computer Science, Business School Departments and there will be first idea pitches at the University of Botswana Library Auditorium.
