The University of Florida is the primary coordinating agency for the JDRF Network for Pancreatic Organ Donors with Diabetes project– affording over 100 research studies worldwide the ability to perform novel research and to make observations on the pathogenesis of T1D in humans that would otherwsie be inaccessible. Currently, seven UF investigators from multiple disciplines are involved with nPOD projects.
